SPORTS: Rivers United holds first training in South Africa

Rivers United the Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Confederation cup has began training in preparation for their second round encounter against Bloemfontein Celtic F.C.

The Team’s 36 man contingent arrived South Africa on Sunday ahead of their first-leg match in the Confederation Cup qualifiers which is scheduled for Wednesday.

According to report, the team had its first training session scheduled at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium, venue of the match on Monday night.

The team Coach Stanley Eguma and other management team had expressed satisfaction in the current form of the team, stating that their ability to deliver is not in doubt.

They are expected to have their last training sessions on Tuesday evening, before filing out against their hosts on Wednesday.

Rivers United will be hoping to pick a good result ahead of the return-leg in Port Harcourt.
