2021 UTME: JAMB Finally Opens Portal For Registration Of Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has finally commenced the registration of candidates for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry to tertiary education institutions in Nigeria.

The examination body had suspended the process, citing technical issues.

Equally important, the development was disclosed in a short statement signed by spokesman of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin on Saturday. He revealed that registration for the 2021 UTME examination had commenced, adding that all issues had been resolved.

Further, the JAMB PRO stated that some candidates had already successfully registered for the examination; even as he revealed that the process was only put on hold to resolve the technical hitches.

Meanwhile, the announcement by JAMB will come as a huge source of respite for millions of intending candidates.

It comes barely 48 hours after the body had suspended the process after it encountered issues in its attempt to integrate the National Identification Number (NIN).

Earlier on Thursday, JAMB had apologised for the delay, urging candidates to be patient.

“Candidates are, therefore, requested to exercise some patience. The process shall be up and running shortly for our advertisement to be rolled out so that candidates can begin the creation of profiles”
