Former Minister of Education and BBOG promoter, Oby Ezekwesili, has urged the President Muhammadu Buhari and security configurations in Nigeria to closely monitor the ongoing situation in Chad Republic following the assassination of the country’s president, Idriss Deby.
Recall that Deby was assassinated in a duel against rebels who had launched an attack on the country through the northern part of Chard on their election day.
The 68-year-old Deby was declared winner of the presidential election yesterday to proceed on a sixth term in power.
While reacting to the incident, Obi Ezekwesili urged FG to closely monitor the situation in Chad, considering the country’s weakest links of vulnerability to Nigeria’s security.
“That country is one of the weakest links of vulnerability to Nigeria’s security.
Keep a fixed gaze on developments in Chad, please,” Obi tweeted.
